“At the beginning it was supposed to be a story, one of those stories with a starting point, an end and maybe even a moral, the mistake was Antonella’s who asked for help from the water of a stream. Even children know it, it flows, it changes, it is never the same. Her works immediately understood this and, as often happens, are much more astute than the author (artists are naive) and I believe that is how this changing ode was born, constantly different and apparently the same.

The sound of the stream and magical objects that can tell, here is the lyric (the lyrics), the ode (the odes), but since we know that all odes need to be dedicated, for whom is Antonella De Nisco’s ode? Maybe for us too, but only if we know how to listen, an ode to those who hear because even the meanings of words count in poems”. [Sergio Camin]

Along the promenade on the Rio Gambis in Cavalese, six large works by Antonella De Nisco tell their stories and listen to those of the stream in a mix of sounds and silences, an ode to nature between ancient walls and new hopes.

The artist’s intent is to create a fairy-tale itinerary of installations between the two banks of the Rio Gambis, the beating heart of the “Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme”. A love and contemplation story of a wonderful place.

Among the sonorous and uninterrupted flow of the Rio that crosses the town of Cavalese we find the 6 large installations: Rapunzel, a long queue that overlooks the Rio from a window; Oooooohhhhhh the suspended and colorful exclamation, which surprises us on the opposite bank, amidst the thunderous roar of the Rio; Valichi to overcome and Ascolto to listen the water to dream, shorten distances and meet; Rete capable of eliminating separations and crossing the Rio with looks and words; Come Due Gocce d’Acqua, a metaphor for the stream, almost a piece of furniture of “fantastic design”, to be used to try to be “like two drops of water”, not because you are twins, but for the elective affinities that unite two people, like loving nature, art, poetry, places, having similar interests and dreams. You can climb onto the drops to stand next to them and take a souvenir photo.
