Folgarida Cable Cars
Daolasa, a ski resort situated at an altitude of 2,040 meters, is well-known for its busy winter slopes, but during the summer, it struggled with a lack of tourist attractions, which limited its economic growth. To address this issue, a project was launched with the aim of creating a summer entertainment area divided into three sections. The facilities, strategically positioned at the cable car exits, are designed to maximize visual impact and attract tourists, creating a “wow” effect.
Division of the area
1. Steel Play Area
Located on the ski slope, this area is dedicated to younger children. The play structures, made of galvanized steel, are mounted on surface-mounted galvanized steel brackets, making them easy to remove during the winter season. The proximity to the restaurant allows parents to keep an eye on their children while relaxing at the lodge.
2. Grove Area
Designed with natural wood, this section blends harmoniously with the surrounding environment. The pathway begins with structures like the Robinia playhouse and slides, accompanied by relaxation spaces with hammocks, and then progresses into more complex and adrenaline-pumping attractions like the cliff rider. As you move deeper into the grove, the play equipment is suited for older children, offering a progressively engaging experience.
3. COROCORD Area
This zone, located near the slope, features the Sky Cabin structure by COROCORD, which offers activities for older children. Climbing to the top of the structure, children can enjoy the breathtaking landscape surrounding them.
Covering an area of 1,000 square meters, this is the first site in Italy to host Kompan structures at an altitude of 2,040 meters. It has been designed to encourage play and adventure in a safe and well-managed environment.

Kompan
At Kompan, the mission has been clear and unwavering since their inception in 1970: to help clients build healthier, happier communities. Their journey began with a simple yet revolutionary idea, rooted in a deep appreciation for the role of play in a child’s development. The story of Kompan is intimately connected with the visionary Tom Lindhardt. Noticing the joy children found in interacting with his art, Tom envisioned a new way to integrate his artistic creations into play. Alongside co-founder Hans Mogens Fenne-Frederiksen, Tom founded Kompan to transform art into play. This innovation arose during the 1970s, when urbanization led to large, impersonal housing projects. Their philosophy is also reflected in their name: “Kompan” derives from the Danish word for “companion” and “lifetime friend.” They are dedicated to building vibrant environments that promote well-being and growth, guided by the belief that thoughtful design fosters healthy, happy communities.
