The climate crisis is a maze of choices – complex, urgent, and deeply personal. Every decision we make, no matter how small, contributes to the trajectory of our planet. Climaze explores this reality, turning the abstract challenges of sustainability into a tangible, navigable experience. It reminds us that change begins with the individual, yet its impact can reverberate globally.
Crafted entirely from recycled plastic, this labyrinth transforms Bryant Park into a living conversation about the choices shaping our planet’s future. Divided into twelve distinct sectors, the maze represents the critical domains where sustainability and human decisions intersect – energy, water, food, fashion, waste, transportation, and more. At each junction, visitors face a choice: sustainable or unsustainable. Only by consistently navigating toward sustainability can one successfully exit to the other side.
Every turn in Climaze becomes a moment of introspection, every choice a metaphor for the impact of collective behavior. Designed to challenge, inform, and inspire, the maze invites participants to reconsider their habits, empowering them with a deeper understanding of how small decisions can shape a more sustainable world.
Climaze is not just a pathway; it’s a call to action, a journey where the exit is not just the end of the maze but a gateway to a more conscious and intentional life.
