The Marmitte dei Giganti park is located just outside the town of Chiavenna and is easily accessible following old mule tracks. The whole area presents landscape visions of particular beauty, impressive geomorphological aspects and historical and prehistoric evidence of great interest. The main peculiarity of the park are the large and deep holes with the strangest shapes dug into the stones by the action of the water called "marmitte", or large pots . Il parco delle Marmitte dei Giganti si trova poco fuori l’abitato di Chiavenna ed è facilmente percorribile seguendo vecchie mulattiere. Tutta l’area presenta visioni paesaggistiche di particolare bellezza, aspetti geomorfologici imponenti e testimonianze storiche e preistoriche di grande interesse. The main garden opens with a majestic center alley bordered by hedges, basins, and panoramas to the sea. Smaller pockets, invisible from the center alley, are discovered through exploration. The four gardens within the Château are filled with large, old trees. Like a painting, greenery is the primary element, contrasted with few white flowers that bloom in summer. Il giardino principale si apre con un maestoso viale centrale delimitato da siepi, vasche e panorami fino al mare. Le aree più piccole, invisibili dal viale centrale, vengono scoperte attraverso l'esplorazione. I quattro giardini del castello sono ricchi di grandi alberi secolari. Come in un dipinto, il verde è l'elemento primario, in contrasto con i pochi fiori bianchi che sbocciano in estate.
